Welcome to the merchant's
guide of the Maya Coupons and Business Directory 2009
A merchant is any one who registers and subscribe to a package added
by the admin. Some merchants may have 1 or more businesses and can advertise
and manage them all from the new coupons portal.
The registered merchant uses the Maya Coupons to add and distribute coupons
online to visitors of the portal and send coupons by emails out to subscribers.
Adding coupons involves 4 steps initially then 3 there after,
Step 1- click on the "Add
Coupons" link on the menu bar at the top
Step 2 - Complete the simple
registration form, or login if you already have an account
Step 3.Subscribe
to a package. Packages are added by the administrator. Select
a package
Agree to the terms and make a payment or if package is free get transfer
Some packages are featured and will give the subscriber some additional
resources such as adding a large special to their listing and being featured
in a flash rotation on the home page.
if the package selected is not free then the merchant will be
directed to make a payment otherwise the vendor will be directed to the
add a coupons page. This page is also accessed directly from the navigation
bar if the merchant has already logged in and will skip all the aforementioned
steps.
note that the subscription
is only required the first time a merchant registers. If the admin sets
it to auto approve the merchant can add business ASAP
Step 4. Completing the
form to add a business and coupons. Before a merchant can list a
business s/he must add and describe his business info, this is only required
once, the next time the merchant can simply select the business from a
drop down and add the coupon.
After completing the form fields and selecting the targeted areas. the
merchant will be transferred to add a coupon
completing the fields as shown in the screen shot will add the coupons
to the portal and instantly become available for potential customers.
The merchant can manage the coupons from their merchant dashboard where
they can get a snapshot of the performance and generate other activities.
All the activities are accessible using the tabs on the page.
Functions that can be performed from the merchant page includes managing
added coupon, adding and sending email to subscribers. Adding or
uploading a large brochure type special -- only for subscribers with a
featured package. Generating performance reports for coupons with a campaign.
Getting the embedding script to embed coupons on the merchants site and
managing the merchant profile.
All the merchants businesses with respective coupons are listed on the
first page after login, the merchant can edit the business by clicking
on the edit business listing and change all the information added including
the category and subcategory.
The business can also be deleted with coupons.
The coupons are listed under each business in an accordian form.
The first accordian is the only one initially opened. To access
the other coupons click on the business. you may have to scroll down to
do that.
Each coupon can also be edited or deleted by clicking on their respective
links. The same form as the add form will be presented to the merchant
to edit the coupon.
This tab displays all the subscribers in the portal who have chosen
to receive emails from the business.
Merchants can now add their own subscribers from
a store list or by embedding the subscription from onto their respective
sites. (click on the Embed tab for more details on embedding a form)
Subscribers are listed below the add subscriber form. To the right of
the screen is the WYSIWYG mailer. Select the business add a subject
and then compose and send the email using the content editor.
To personalize emails keep #name# wherever the merchant wants
to use the name of the individual.
These are added benefits for merchants who subscribe to the featured
package. The merchant can upload a large brochure type image to be displayed
with their listings. Only one image can be uploaded at any given
time.
To upload an image select the business on the left and then browse your
computer for the image, enter the web site you would like the clicker
to be directed to and hit submit.
one the right side of the page the specials are listed there with their
performance clicks. The merchant must delete the featured special before
s/he can add another.
The performance reporting module. In
the module the merchant can select a business, and a range of dates to
compare the performance of coupons added
A pie and bar charts are dynamically generated to show the performance.
The merchant can get actual print reports on the detail clicks by clicking
on the PDF icon.
Merchants can now embed their coupons onto their
own web site. They can customize the display of the coupons by completing
a few fields and generating a script to be inserted onto the merchants
web site. This page also provides the merchant with the email subscription
form.
The final tab available to the merchant is the profile tab. Similar
to the my profile tab from the end user section and the registration form
the vendor can change their password and edit some account information
page.
