Big Al & Redneck Steve's Beer Bucket

On december 29, 2007, Big Al, a radio personality from the nationally syndicated show, Kidd Kraddick in the Morning, and his best friend Redneck Steve, stumbled into a bar in Playa del Carmen called “Sharky and Captain Ron’s Beer Bucket.” they asked Sharky if he knew of a bar that was for sale? Sharky said that he was considering selling his bar. The 3 of them went upstairs to talk about it. multiple beers and tequila shots were had by all. 4 hours later, the pair from Dallas had agreed to buy the place! 5 long months later, may 23, 2008, Big Al and Redneck Steve’s Beer Bucket was born! Now, people have come from around the world to experience “The Bucket.” this is evident by the assortment of license plates that appear on the walls of the bucket. Locals, regulars, and first timers all congregate at the beer bucket as it is the #1 spot to meet, hang, and shoot the breeze about whatever and whoever. the new owners have done a great job in making small improvements to the bucket, while at the same time, preserving the integrity of what people have come to expect at The Bucket. Fun times, fun people, and cold beer! but don’t worry, if beer isn’t your thing, The Bucket offers a full bar including over 20 different types of tequila, frozen drinks, and any other drink your heart desires! The Bucket opens at noon EVERY DAY and closes at 2am. Sometimes later on special event nights.
